Household Tasks

Aurora provides routine household assistance for NDIS participants who require support with household tasks because of their disability.

Support is arranged around your routine and the way you like your home kept. Where you would like to take part, we work alongside you rather than taking over — you decide how much you do and where you want a hand.

• Dusting
• Bathroom cleaning
• Kitchen cleaning
• Changing bed linen
• Laundry-related assistance
• General household tidying
• Other agreed household tasks

Who this may suit

• NDIS participants with household tasks funded in their plan
• People for whom cleaning tasks are difficult, unsafe or exhausting because of disability
• People who manage most of the home but need help with heavier or higher tasks
• Participants who want a predictable weekly or fortnightly routine
• People who prefer the same familiar worker attending each visit

What Aurora does

• Agree the specific tasks, frequency and duration with you before support begins
• Bring a consistent, respectful approach to your home and your belongings
• Follow your preferences about products, order of tasks and access to rooms
• Raise anything we notice that may affect your safety at home

Person-centred scheduling

Visits are booked at a regular day and time that suits your week, with the same worker wherever possible, so you are not re-explaining your home each visit.

If your circumstances change, we review the task list and schedule with you rather than continuing an arrangement that no longer fits.

What Aurora does not provide

• Specialist hazardous cleaning
• Biohazard or trauma cleaning
• Asbestos-related cleaning
• Mould remediation
• Pest-control services
• Tasks requiring specialist licensing or equipment

If a task falls outside what we can safely provide, we will say so and help you look at appropriate options.
