Household Tasks

Routine household assistance for NDIS participants who require support with household tasks because of their disability.

Examples of support

Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
Changing bed linen and laundry assistance
General household tidying and other agreed tasks

Who it may suit

People for whom household tasks are difficult, unsafe or exhausting because of disability.

What Aurora does not provide

Specialist hazardous, biohazard, asbestos or mould cleaning, pest control, or tasks requiring specialist licensing.

Community Participation

One-to-one support to access activities, appointments, errands, recreation and social opportunities that are meaningful to you.

Who it may suit

People who feel more comfortable going out with a familiar support worker, or who are working towards community access goals.

What Aurora does not provide

Group programs or centre-based activities, and clinical, therapeutic or behaviour support services.

Ordinary assistance with everyday personal routines, provided according to the participant's assessed needs, support plan, Aurora's service scope and worker competency.

Who it may suit

People whose needs sit within ordinary personal support and who want the same familiar worker.

What Aurora does not provide

High Intensity Daily Personal Activities, nursing, clinical procedures, complex health interventions, specialist behaviour support or unauthorised restrictive practices.

Transport Support

Transport-related assistance to access appointments, shopping, community activities, social outings and other agreed destinations.

Who it may suit

Participants with transport-related assistance in their plan, particularly where public transport options are limited.

What Aurora does not provide

Taxi or rideshare style bookings, and non-emergency patient or ambulance-type transport.
