Where agreed, Aurora may provide transport-related assistance to support access to appointments, shopping, community activities, social outings, recreation and other agreed destinations.
Transport will only be provided when it is included in the participant's support arrangement and can be delivered safely.
Where we may assist you to travel
- Appointments
- Shopping
- Community activities
- Social outings
- Recreation
- Other agreed destinations
Who this may suit
- NDIS participants with transport-related assistance in their plan
- People combining transport with another agreed Aurora support
- Participants in Hunter areas where public transport options are limited
- People who travel more comfortably with a familiar support worker
What Aurora does
- Confirm the destinations, timing and arrangements before support begins
- Plan pick-up times with allowance for traffic and parking
- Keep worker matching consistent so routes and preferences are already understood
- Review the arrangement if travel needs change
Person-centred scheduling
Travel is planned as part of your support session rather than treated as an afterthought, and recurring appointments can be booked as a standing arrangement.
We confirm the day before where you would like us to, so you know who is arriving and when.
What Aurora does not provide
- Taxi, rideshare or on-demand transport booked without an agreed support arrangement
- Non-emergency patient transport, stretcher transport or ambulance-type services
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicle transport, which is subject to availability and must be confirmed before support begins
- Tolls, parking and travel costs, which are handled according to your service agreement
- Travel that could not be delivered safely or that sits outside the agreed plan
